Pea Puree Baby Frozen Peas

Use it as a dip or spread with fresh bread, pita, or crackers.or, serve it underneath seared scallops or grilled chicken for a “fancy” dinner idea. This stops the cooking and preserves the peas' vibrant green color.

Remove 1/3 cup liquid from the saucepan, reserve. Buy fresh in the spring and look for pods that are intact and have a bright green color. Peas make for a great first food and can be introduced whenever your baby starts solids, usually from 6 months onwards.

Add frozen peas and stock, increase heat to bring to simmer then cover and reduce heat to medium. Place the peas in a steamer and cook until tender for 3 to 5 minutes.
